VIDEO: Christie Brinkley is your Throwback Thursday honoree

Oh Christie Brinkley, you beautiful, beautiful ray of California sunshine. The Uptown Girl, the CoverGirl, the "It" Girl. And, of course, the girl in that red Ferrari who brought Chevy Chase to his knees in National Lampoon's Vacation. She is one of the reasons reason I tried (and failed) to wear CoverGirl's blue eyeshadow in 7th grade, but I'm not one to hold grudges.

Christie, who has appeared in nine issues including three straight covers, has said that this shoot in Kenya in 1989 was one of her most memorable. Luckily for you, we caught the whole thing on video. Here's a piece of the action.
